Accessibility at Tethered Together
We want everyone to be able to enjoy Tethered Together. As such, the form below provides an avenue for attendees to provide information about their accessibility requests. Having as much information as possible will allow us the ability to fulfill reasonable requests.
If you are unable to fill out this form, or would like more information, please contact Skyla: [email protected]
Only requests submitted 30 days prior to the event can be attended to via this form. For later inquiries please email directly.
If you have questions about the accessibility of the facility, please contact our host hotel.
For individuals with questions relating to service or other comfort/support animals: According to the ADA, “A service animal means any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability”. Our hotel is a pet friendly hotel and charges a cleaning fee for overnight guests which is 50 dollars/night. Comfort/Support animal handlers must get the hotel’s permission prior to bringing an animal that is not a service animal into the hotel or conference space. Animals that are not working or providing assistance to their handler should not be inside the conference space.
All service, comfort, and support animals
- Must be under control at all times (see link below, Q27 for definition and requirement)
- Updated on all vaccines as required by law
- If they have an accident – the handler should clean it immediately and report the incident to hotel staff.
- Handlers are completely responsible for the conduct of their animals in public and private hotel spaces including but not limited to stain removal, medical care for an attendee injured by the animal, etc.
We follow the guidelines for service animal definitions and behavior found here on the ADA website: https://www.ada.gov/regs2010/service_animal_qa.html
