Her background as a medical professional informs her passion for risk awareness education. She is based in San Francisco, where she produces BENT, the Bay Area’s biggest dungeon party, and acclaimed bondage & fetish performance event Twisted Windows. She is the creator and writer of SelfSuspend.com and bondage safety site RemedialRopes.com. Shay identifies as a purveyor of perversion, pansexual polyamorist playslut, and alliteration fetishisist!
Sara without an H is an instructor and performer in the Philadelphia area. She has been teaching movement for over ten years in formats including pole fitness, lyra (aerial hoop), chair dance, burlesque, twerk, and floor work. SWAH produces the aerial burlesque shows decaDANCE and Cirque Noir, which combine the strength of aerials with the seduction of burlesque, and mix in kink and sideshow. As a kinkster, she is an avid rope bunny and demo bottom, and enjoys fire, electro, needle, and impact play. She is passionate about movement as a means to self-discovery.
Miss_Acacia has been creating art in rope bondage and suspension since 2014. With a preference for symmetry and a focus on detail, her goal is to create a tie that works for her bottom’s body while still showcasing the beauty of rope. Starting with self-suspension, she progressed to suspending others with an understanding of both sides of the suspension experience. She continues to focus on the fundamentals no matter how far her rope journey takes her, because she wants to understand the how and the why behind the structure of each tie. Once she feels she understands the purpose of each part, she is able to use them to transition and contort her bottom with the right ties for that sequence. She is frequently brainstorming with fellow rope enthusiasts to improve harnesses and make the most sustainable ties for her bottoms. In teaching, she focuses on making sure that bottoms and tops both grasp what the rope should look and feel like. She teaches for understanding of how each part and pattern works instead of memorizing patterns so that her students are better equipped to continue their education.
Worldsokayestropebunny started their rope journey as a rope bottom in 2017. Shortly after, they started to tie other themselves then other people. Worldsokayestropebunny has a degree in education and also a certified personal trainer. They believe both of these things give them a great advantage for teaching rope and also having a good understanding of the body.
IamGLB was introduced into the kink world in 2012. Since then he has explored many aspects of kink and has enjoyed all of it. Rope was his entry point to this world and his love of rope has been growing ever since then. He loves the intimacy, connection and trust that you build with rope.
Beyonder is a friendly local Rope Nerd who has spent the last decade in the Boston scene tying, being tied, teaching, and being taught. Has been known to get "overly technical" and emphasize skill, competence, and safety over "connectedness". Dislikes: Japanophilia, entitlement, and the boola boola.
Ode2Joy (Joy) is a therapist by day, but an experienced rope bottom, a presenter, and a lion cub (not a kitten!) the rest of the time. In a collared 24/7 D/s dynamic since 2015, she thrives on detailed protocol, open communication, and laughing in the face of danger. Often known for being a brat to her partner BDSLR, her love language is planning things, and she can often be found bouncing around excitedly planning their next adventures. She’s passionate about sharing her knowledge and experiences, especially when it comes to rope bottoming, D/s or poly relationships, and facilitating healthy, honest communication. A native of Dominica, Lotus RopeWolf (He/Him) is a rigger and professional Dom. His philosophy around kink is heavily influenced by Audre Lorde’s essay, “Uses of the Erotic”. He believes in creating moments of intimacy that are positive and life-changing. This philosophy guides him as he navigates his own freedom living as a queer Black male in the BDSM lifestyle.
His work includes private BDSM sessions, live performances, in-person and virtual educational workshops for BIPOC kinksters, and one-on-one mentorship for new riggers. He covers topics important for newbie kinksters to know and information that experienced kinksters should revisit.

Blane (she/her) is a licensed massage therapist, copywriter, and professional submissive. Her journey into sex work began as a means for survival and became the foundation for self-empowerment and advocacy. Willow is a queer shibari artist, performer and rope bondage instructor residing in Western Massachusetts. Her roots in bondage come from her fascination of rope as a creative, multipurpose medium that can be sexy, painful, healing, playful and/or uplifting to people depending on application. Willow’s personal approach to rope involves colorful ties, creative free-form bondage and rope performances that blur the lines of gender. Her colorful aesthetic and rope style translates into their work, which emphasizes and highlights the beauty of all bodies in rope. Willow currently co-runs monthly rope 101 and open-tie classes in Massachusetts at the Western Mass Rope Collective. Willow regularly and enthusiastically works with newbies, couples, self-tying individuals, shy and people from a variety of backgrounds/body types/genders.
Tempo (He/Him) is a traveling top who visits various communities and countries to learn from the resident experts of different journeys of kink. He takes what he learns to bring back to his present home community in Boise, ID where he hosts Boise Rope Jam. He primarily seeks out rope instructors to help guide him on his journey of rope artistry. True to his name, much of his play involves weaving music into his scenes.
Whether it be occupational- or kink-related, his true calling is teaching. Outside the kink community, Tempo teaches for a regionally accredited college and manages the school’s curriculum. Inside the community, he is often found serving whatever city he finds himself in as an instructor, a volunteer, a dungeon monitor, medical staff, or consent incident responder.
Pepper has been in the kink community since 2013. Her first passion and love has always been power exchange, but through the years Pepper has developed knowledge and skills in rope bondage, creative sadism, and working with consent issues. As a rope switch, Pepper loves ties that challenge her and her partner, and ties that promote closeness and intimacy. March is a curious student of rope, vulnerability, suffering, bruises, orgasms, fear, and all that jazz. Nyx_Bound is a Boston-based rope switch. She eats jute for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. When Nyx isn’t tying or being tied, you can find her collecting neon green everything, writing poems, talking long walks, and spending time with her community of QPKs (queer, poly, kinksters).
Laura has been involved in local kink scenes and ethically non-monogamous for 13 years and polyamorous for nearly ten. She writes the blog and hosts the podcast Ready for Polyamory, which can be found at readyforpolyamory.com and wherever you get your podcasts. She is fascinated by the problems and joys of navigating multiple relationships and complex relationship webs, especially as kinky and D/s relationships intersect with the more common concerns of polyamorous relationships. Her educational background in literature, sexuality, and the law, has helped her build a critical framework in which she examines relationships and relationship skills that she hopes others will also find useful. PrettySubFemale (PSF) has been involved in the New England kink scene for 25 years, and has a wide variety of interests including spanking, sounding and other edge play, rope, wax, whips and button pushing. Mx. HelloKatie (they/he) is a rope obsessed northern Virginia based educator, performer, and alternative model. For the past 5 years they have been learning and exploring rope, and have worked for, taught, performed, and presented for organizations all over the country. As a queer, non-binary, trans* masculine leaning, switch, Mx. HelloKatie focuses on ensuring multiple perspectives are represented in their work and material. In 2018 they discovered their love for flow arts and consider themselves lucky to be a part of the DC Sunset and Chill crew. They are shamelessly addicted to all things movement, flow arts, fire, rope, pain, HelloKitty, Disney, and Harry Potter related. Thunder (they/them) is an anatomy nerd! From dance to weightlifting to bodywork to nutrition, they leave no stone unturned. Their love of a challenge drew them to kinbaku, but the trust they built with their body and their partner, MxHelloKatie, made them stay. Thunder brings a deep understanding of anatomy to the table to empower bottoms to make informed decisions about their ties and how they feel in them.
Lief has been a rope Switch for the past eight years. They have been obsessed with rope even before getting the chance to pick it up and now they can’t put it down. They got their start in the Boston scene and attended rope cons such as Bound in Boston and FIRE. Since moving to Los Angeles, they have grown to become a part of the local community teaching classes at TieHaus, Voxbody, SnowBound, teaching privates, and creating queer kink art. ICARUS (They/Them)
Icarus is a queer, non-binary, switchy pain enthusiast who started their rope bottoming exploration in 2013. Their teaching has developed in kink in tandem with their career in social services, focusing on intersectionality and exploring power dynamics in consent negotiations. Icarus now resides in Los Angeles where they are most passionate about building systems of community care and creating queer performance art with their kink family. They have had the pleasure of teaching sharps at Voxbody and presenting at Snowbound.

Phoenix Phrye and Myrina are one half of the Swinky Life team.
Phoenix’s love of rope began somewhere in life that he cannot truly remember, but it may have had to do with Dudley DoRight, Nell, and Natasha.
Myrina met Phoenix in the summer of 2019 and watched him use rope to tie several of their friends in an all night dungeon scene at Naughty in Nawlins. She was immediately fascinated with the art of shibari. Relatively new to the kink scene, Myrina jumped in to learn as much as she could. She not only became a rope bottom for Phoenix, she began self-tying, self suspending and using Phoenix and her husband Tristan to practice her skills.
Phoenix Phyre and Myrina, together with their spouses Crimson Dragonfly and Tristan, created Swinky Life to be a platform to bring the joy of all kinds, styles and levels of kink to anyone who wants to learn more about it.
Dandy is a gender non-conforming rope switch from the Providence community. They are primarily a self-suspender who wanted to fly more as a fat bottom and started self-tying to fix that. They do creative, non-pretentious rope that uses the fundamentals to find ways to adapt rope to the needs of fat bodies.
After hearing too many stories about not seeing big bodies represented in rope or tutorials, they started hosting a virtual squishy rope jam. By holding space for fat bodies in rope, they aim to help close the gap between squishy bodies and those with the knowledge to tie them.
Apterous has taught everything from basic ties to self-suspension and partnered suspension transitions at many events in the Boston area. In her free time, she copes with her severe knitting problem.
